The VMS Bridge Program has unveiled five companies as winners of a prize that includes a four-day trip to Saudi Arabia, offering them the chance to meet with Saudi investors and explore investment opportunities. This initiative is aimed at empowering the winners to launch and grow in the Saudi market.
These fortunate enterprises poised for expansion into Saudi Arabia are Amanleek, Farhy, Sprints, Career 180, and Jamaykaa.
Launched by Saudi’s Value Maker Studio (VMS), the VMS Bridge Program supports entrepreneurs and assists startups in their growth and international scaling, bridging the gap between the entrepreneurial ecosystems in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The program’s first edition recognized nine companies, providing greater opportunities for growth and regional and global expansion, as well as equipping entrepreneurs with the skills and understanding necessary to successfully enter and thrive in new markets.
The five winning companies to explore the Saudi market are:
- Amanleek, co-founded by entrepreneurs Mohab Ahmed and Mohamed Yahia, an online platform offering diverse insurance services.
- Farhy, initiated by entrepreneur Nadine Farag, a one-stop online platform for wedding-related products and services.
- Sprints, established by entrepreneur Bassam Sharqawi, a digital platform in the educational technology sector offering programs aimed at employability in the tech industry.
- Career 180, created by entrepreneurs Mohamed Akmal and Shorouk Alaa, a digital qualification and recruitment platform with over 200 course recordings available for job seekers.
- Jamaykaa, founded by entrepreneur Mohamed Riyad, a digital platform that simplifies the process for businesses and small companies to showcase and sell their products, along with offering storage, packaging, and shipping services.
Additionally, two companies received support from the Entrepreneurship Center of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport in the form of a free license to incorporate their business in Saudi Arabia. These are:
- Notchnco, co-founded by Basem Nasif and Nasser Mahrous, a digital platform that enhances customer engagement with businesses via WhatsApp and other social media channels.
- Neqabty, founded by entrepreneur Donya El-Foly, an app specializing in connecting syndicates with their members for electronic service access.
Two environmentally and socially conscious companies were also awarded by ‘Arooqa’ company, receiving a grant to participate in Arooqa’s training program for free. These are:
- AgryCash, co-founded by Dr. Mohamed Hamdy and Dr. Diaa Youssef, a digital platform specializing in financing small-scale farmers and promoting sustainable organic farming.
- ReNile, established by Hazem Eltawab, Ibrahim Elzayat, and Amir Sabry, a platform in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) focused on farm automation and remote management.
The program’s success highlights the potential for emerging companies to scale and succeed in a new market, with the backing of strategic programs and partnerships.
