The Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, in collaboration with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), has unveiled the ‘Princess Nourah University Young Women’ program at the university’s CODE Lab.
This initiative, which runs until May 16th, aims to heighten awareness and bolster the entrepreneurial capabilities of female entrepreneurs in innovation, creativity, problem-solving, self-confidence, capacity building, and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful entrepreneurs who can contribute to the growth and diversification of the economy.
Targeting university students, the program offers training in entrepreneurial impact activities including thinking techniques, market research, feasibility studies, business model development, financial planning, budget preparation, and legal and regulatory considerations for startups.
The program seeks to reinforce and support a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the academic community, stimulate innovative problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and ensure women benefit from at least 30% of Monsha’at’s programs and services. It also focuses on building a network of like-minded entrepreneurial students, and developing presentation, communication, negotiation, and marketing skills.
The schedule includes an introduction to entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem, business model canvas, marketing basics, finance, pitch presentations, mentoring sessions, idea validation and guidance, among other diverse programs that meet the rapidly evolving market needs.
This is part of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center’s commitment to offering workshops that support Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic objectives for 2025 by promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, developing innovations, preparing a globally competitive generation, and contributing effectively to achieving sustainable development goals and national economic prosperity.
