The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at) is hosting the finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) with the top 100 startups from around the globe. This event, in collaboration with the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), offers financial prizes up to $1 million and various in-kind awards to attract leading projects.
The finals will take place during the “Biban 24” forum in Riyadh, from November 5-9, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, under the theme “A Global Destination for Opportunities.”
The Entrepreneurship World Cup is the largest event for global entrepreneurs in the Kingdom, aiming to stimulate local investment, attract foreign investments, and highlight promising opportunities. It also supports partners and sponsors in achieving their goals.
Finalists were selected from over 16,000 applicants from 151 countries, following national competitions and a global training camp featuring the top 250 startups and experts. The best 100 startups will compete in the finals at Biban 24.
Established in 2019 by the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network, the Entrepreneurship World Cup has seen participation from over 420,000 entrepreneurs from 200 countries, with total prize money of $4 million awarded to winners.
Sami Al-Husseini, Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), stated that “entrepreneurship is the core of the economy,” emphasizing efforts to “create a positive impact locally and globally by equipping the sector with the necessary tools for a prosperous future.”
The Entrepreneurship World Cup offers a platform for projects worldwide to compete for the title, highlighting opportunities in the Kingdom, providing training, networking with entrepreneurs, and accessing support platforms to develop entrepreneurial skills and advance market-effective projects.
