The Saudi General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, known as ‘Monsha’at’, has made a significant stride by participating in the Franchise Expo PARIS, held in the French capital from the 16th to the 18th of the current month. Monsha’at facilitated the inclusion of 18 Saudi trade marks in the event, aiming to ease their access to global markets and propel their expansion and growth. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to attract investors and support the sustainable development and global scaling of these businesses.
At the expo, Saudi brands showcased their offerings through Monsha’at’s pavilion, introducing their services and programs which qualify them for potential investment opportunities to further their entrepreneurial journey. The sectors represented by these brands include food and beverages, clothing, and jewelry, with the presence of business incubators and accelerators amongst the delegation.
The Franchise Expo PARIS is regarded as a significant international event in the franchising industry, offering promising opportunities to participating entrepreneurs from around the world. With approximately 570 exhibitors and a gathering of experts, specialists, and investors, the expo serves as a platform to bolster investments between entrepreneurial project owners and global corporations.
Through its participation, Monsha’at has highlighted the services provided by its Franchise Center, which is dedicated to assessing brands and offering the necessary support for their expansion. To date, more than 1200 trademarks have benefited from these services. Additionally, the center has delivered a suite of training programs to over 5000 beneficiaries, among various other services such as licensing about 150 franchise brokers and a franchise manager service that has developed the capabilities of nearly 100 individuals in the sector.
Monsha’at’s efforts at the expo are geared towards facilitating local enterprises’ access to the global market and opening communication channels with international investors. Moreover, it aims to acquaint the business community participating in the expo with the substantial opportunities that the Kingdom hosts in the franchising domain.
