Huawei presented a range of advanced cloud solutions aimed at supporting Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive digital transformation, aligning with the Vision 2030 plan. These solutions encompass cloud computing, AI, big data, and more, highlighting their role in enhancing efficiency and fostering innovation within businesses and government entities.
Key highlights included advanced AI models like “Pangu,” designed to accelerate the adoption of smart technologies across various sectors. These models demonstrate significant capabilities in big data analysis and intelligent decision-making, opening new possibilities in healthcare, finance, industry, and other fields.
Huawei also announced substantial investments in developing Saudi AI talent through intensive training programs and partnerships with universities and research institutions.
Supporting Digital Transformation
Steven Yi, President of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia, reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation, emphasizing the country’s immense potential. He noted Huawei’s close collaboration with government and private partners to deliver the necessary technological solutions.
Alan Chi reported a tenfold increase in the company’s public cloud service revenues in Saudi Arabia over the past year, attributing this growth to innovative solutions tailored to diverse sector needs, high performance, and customer-centric services.
Diverse Digital Services
Huawei Cloud serves over 300 clients in Saudi Arabia, including government ministries, major telecom companies, fintech firms, and media companies, as well as 90% of Chinese companies expanding into the kingdom. This broad client base reflects growing trust in Huawei’s cloud solutions.
In collaboration with the Saudi government, Huawei is developing a big data platform to enhance data sharing efficiency among government entities, leveraging the Pangu model to support smart city initiatives.
Huawei has also created a large Arabic language model specifically for the Saudi market, supporting over 20 AI applications and utilizing advanced cloud computing resources.
E-commerce Development
Huawei Cloud supports leading e-commerce company Zood in expanding its presence in the Saudi market. Additionally, Huawei offers innovative digital banking solutions that help financial institutions improve customer experiences and strengthen cybersecurity measures.
