Lugain AlObaid is a prominent Saudi businesswoman who serves as the CEO of Tasamy, a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding social entrepreneurs. Lugain earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals and participated in the “Saudi Youth Ambassadors” cultural exchange program with the United States.
She represents the field of social entrepreneurship in various international and local forums, including the “World Youth Forum” and the “World Economic Forum.” Lugain was selected as one of 11 women from a pool of 700 applicants for an American fellowship, which involved working with the non-profit employment and training service provider Agensi Careers in Hyderabad, India.
Lugain’s Achievements
Lugain received a fellowship from the global organization Acumen and served as the Strategic President of Agensi Careers. She works as a consultant for numerous governmental and private organizations, and has been named among the “Top 100 Most Influential Women” in the Middle East and the “Most Influential Under Thirty” in Saudi Arabia.
She founded the first social business incubator in Saudi Arabia, Tasamy, developing programs aimed at creating sustainable and innovative solutions for societal issues. Lugain has also joined the Public Sector Leadership Program at Harvard University and the Leadership Education Program at Columbia Business School.
