Industry specialists have underscored the significant impact of education on entrepreneurship and the sustainability of its effects by working on pioneering educational projects. These initiatives not only enhance educational outcomes and academic achievements but also transform them into investment opportunities for educators.
At the sidelines of the Jeddah Parents’ Award for Outstanding Teacher exhibition, Mahmoud Mazi, General Manager of the Retail Sector at Monsha’at, shared his experience on the influence of education in entrepreneurship. He discussed how to promote entrepreneurial culture, a responsibility and a goal of Monsha’at, which seeks to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. Mazi reaffirmed that the SME sector is a fundamental pillar for economic development in Saudi Arabia, aiming to achieve the goals set out in Vision 2030 and beyond.
Dr. Bandar Arab, CEO in the private sector, presented his entrepreneurial journey, touching upon the relationship between social responsibility and entrepreneurship and the recent developments in Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurial market. He concluded with advice for budding entrepreneurs. Dr. Mohand Al-Sheikh shared his dream realized by bridging science and work, reflecting on his academic and practical experiences between the United States and Saudi Arabia.
CEO of Imkan Education, Basma Bashnaq, narrated her journey on the ‘Aenab’ platform, which supports learning. She discussed the essence of entrepreneurship in education and the secret to the success of educational entrepreneurial projects, using Imkan and Aenab as examples of successful companies in this field. Engineer Mohammed Al-Madani, co-founder of the Classera platform, briefly explored the future of education with technology. Businessman Ibrahim Al-Subeai delved into education and the role of the outstanding teacher in ensuring sustainable impact and the selection of entrepreneurial projects for investment. The series of inspiring talks concluded with Khalid Al-Hamdan from the private sector, who spoke about his experience under the theme ‘Role Model and Impact,’ recounting his father’s journey as a role model and his success story.
An initiative on the sidelines of the exhibition saw the Distinguished Initiatives Association sign an agreement with the University of Jeddah, represented by the Talent Attraction and Sponsorship Administration. The agreement grants direct admission to the College of Engineering for ten students who won the ‘Future Industrialists Award 1’ and demonstrated academic excellence and the ability to continue in the development process with the industry.
The exhibition also witnessed a significant attendance at training courses held over two days, benefiting more than 500 teachers. Training programs were presented on empowering the school, learning outcomes, professional development tools, interactive learning environments, and empowerment.
