The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) has launched several training programs under the initiative “Entrepreneurial Capacity Development for Technical and Vocational Trainees.” This initiative aims to enhance human resources by preparing and training faculty members at technical colleges to meet evolving training needs with updated entrepreneurial curricula.
A total of 19 training programs were conducted for faculty members across 142 technical colleges and branches, spanning 13 regions in the country, involving 4,259 trainers.
The summer programs were diverse, covering specialized areas such as project management, introductory entrepreneurship, and creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship.
According to Dr. Adel Al-Zunaidi, TVTC’s Deputy Governor for Training, these programs are crucial for continually developing the skills of trainers in vital fields, thereby improving the quality of training at technical colleges and aligning with the Human Capacity Development Program, part of Vision 2030.
In this phase, 1,043 trainers benefited from the introductory entrepreneurship program, 589 participated in creativity and innovation programs, and 2,627 trainers engaged in project management training.
Future plans include implementing newly developed entrepreneurial courses, covering 21 specialized areas under the guidance of industry experts.
This initiative is part of TVTC’s broader efforts to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship skills among trainees, improve training quality, and prepare national talent capable of leading entrepreneurial projects.
