The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises is organizing “Production and Film Industry Week” in partnership with the Film Commission from September 8-12. Events will be held in Riyadh, Medina, Jeddah, and Khobar.
This initiative aims to educate entrepreneurs about investment opportunities in Arabic content production, animation, and sound effects. It also introduces them to services and programs from government and private sectors that support small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The week will feature various support councils, both in-person and virtual meetings, and success stories. Key participants include the CEO of the Film Commission, Abdullah Al-Qahtani, the Legal Affairs and Regulations Deputy at the Ministry of Culture, Asim Al-Tuwaijri, and the Investment Operations Deputy at the Ministry of Investment, Saleh Al-Khubti. Their goal is to enhance entrepreneurs’ awareness of diverse investment opportunities and provide consultations, guidance, and workshops to help SMEs enter the production and film industry.
The event will highlight the role of cinema in supporting the film sector, the productive environment in the Kingdom, and the development of professional content creation. It will also discuss the Entertainment Authority’s initiatives to empower the film sector and the regulatory bodies’ roles in developing the industry and protecting legal rights.
Through specialized weeks like this, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises continues to support SMEs by opening new horizons. Interested parties are encouraged to register to benefit from the week’s activities, including dialogue sessions and workshops.
