KPMG has announced the launch of its fourth annual Global Tech Innovation (GTI) competition in Saudi Arabia. The initiative is designed to showcase and accelerate promising technical innovations, tech-supported projects throughout the kingdom, and elevate them to a global stage.

The application window is now open and will close on June 30, 2024. The local finals are scheduled to be held on August 28, 2024, at KPMG’s main office in Riyadh. The winner from the kingdom will advance to the global finals at the Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal, to compete against finalists from over 25 countries.

Reflecting on last year’s success, the 2023 Tech Innovation Contest highlighted ‘Net Zero’ as the winner. This company specializes in providing innovative solutions for businesses in Saudi Arabia to offset their carbon emissions, employing a method that simplifies the deployment of nature-based and afforestation solutions in a cost-effective and transparent manner.
