KPMG has announced the launch of its fourth annual Global Tech Innovation (GTI) competition in Saudi Arabia. The initiative is designed to showcase and accelerate promising technical innovations, tech-supported projects throughout the kingdom, and elevate them to a global stage.
The application window is now open and will close on June 30, 2024. The local finals are scheduled to be held on August 28, 2024, at KPMG’s main office in Riyadh. The winner from the kingdom will advance to the global finals at the Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal, to compete against finalists from over 25 countries.
Reflecting on last year’s success, the 2023 Tech Innovation Contest highlighted ‘Net Zero’ as the winner. This company specializes in providing innovative solutions for businesses in Saudi Arabia to offset their carbon emissions, employing a method that simplifies the deployment of nature-based and afforestation solutions in a cost-effective and transparent manner.
‘Net Zero’ stood out as the winner among six finalists: BuildNow, CarTrust, Lendo, MUNJZ, Rology, and Silky Systems, who were selected from more than 70 qualified applicants, showcasing the high level of competition and the entrepreneurial spirit of Saudi innovators.

Startups and entrepreneurs interested are encouraged to submit their applications and projects through the official submission page for the KPMG GTI contest. The competition, in partnership with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), reflects the contest’s stature and its significant role in advancing technical innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the region.
