In a heartening development for computer science students in Saudi Arabia, the country’s Education Evaluation Commission has achieved full membership in the Seoul Accord, slated for 2024. This landmark accomplishment signifies the international community’s confidence in the Saudi quality assurance systems and standards for university education, underlining the global distinction of the Saudi model for education quality control and assurance.
Student Abdullah Al-Quraini expressed optimism, noting that full accreditation by the Seoul Accord would enhance the employability of Saudi university graduates. With their degrees gaining official international recognition, doors to broad job opportunities both within and outside of Saudi Arabia are now open.
Another student, Khaled Ali, pointed out that this advancement bolsters the competitiveness of Saudi graduates in the global job market and serves to elevate Saudi Arabia’s international standing as a benchmark in education quality assurance.
Ahmed Al-Maimouni stressed the need for concerted efforts between academic institutions and assessment bodies, such as ‘Accreditation’, to attain and uphold global education standards, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized quality benchmarks.
Concluding the students’ sentiments, Nayif Al-Dosari underlined that this achievement reflects the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to excel in various fields, fostering innovation and sustainability, which will, in turn, strengthen opportunities for sustainable education and development within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
